BEACH BOULEVARD OF CARS PROUDLY SHOWS ITS SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL SURF MUSEUM
July 11, 2012 – Huntington Beach, Calif., Beach Boulevard of Cars (BBOC) is excited to confirm, a donation was made earlier this year to the International Surf Museum in Huntington Beach, CA on behalf of all the dealers encompassed in the BBOC.
The International Surf Museum started out as a dream over 20 year ago. The dream was to create a truly international surfing museum, one that salutes surfing around the world, its pioneers, its culture and its evolution. The foundation of the museum is built from its memberships and their love for the spirit that is surfing.
Currently there is a great selection of exhibits that visitors can view. They include, Hobie Alter historical exhibit, Simon Anderson “Father of the Thruster” exhibit, Surfing Walk of Fame exhibit, Duke Kahanamoku Shrine for the Father of Surfing, Huntington Beach Pier history exhibit, Women Who Surf dedicated to Rell Sunn exhibit, International Surf Teams’ ISA and Sands of the World exhibit, Surf Movie with Endless Summer camera exhibit, Surf Music with Dick Dale and Jim Fuller of Surfaris guitar exhibit and the Hole in the Wall gang with Gordon “Gordie” Duane and Nancy Katin exhibit.
The International Surfing Museum also has big plans for the future. Numerous proposals have been submitted for a new museum, which could be built near the Huntington Beach Pier. Architects Ron Yeo and Purkiss Rose RSI as well as Director Don Strout and many others have all contributed to the proposed designs.
