February 2017 sees two great charity runs coming up that will not only provide all participants with a day’s entertainment but will also be of significant benefit to others.
Coming up first is the Surf City USA Marathon and Half Marathon which has possibly the best location in the world for a charity event at Huntington Beach — it’s set in a surfer’s paradise. Held Sunday, February 5th, the marathon attracts runners of all levels. Whether you want to run or cheer on friends or family, there will be bands lining the route all the way to the Finish line so you’ll be entertained and motivated by the retro surf sounds while you raise money for charity.
For those not up for a half-marathon, why don’t you consider taking part in the Timberwolf 5k Run or the 1K Fun Run on Saturday, February 11th? You can choose your level of participation and know that the proceeds will go towards providing housing programs, food, counselling, school supplies, and other services for families in dire need of financial support. You don’t have to be an athlete to contribute your time while you’re having fun in the sun and you’ll be making a big difference to those that need it most.
