About the New 2013 Toyota RAV4

For the 2013 model year the Toyota RAV4 has a sharper and more aerodynamic look.  This is thanks to a new front design that replaces the truckish grille for a seamless front end that flows from headlight to headlight. In one of its bigger breaks with tradition, the new RAV4 will offer a roof-hinged liftgate (powered on the Limited) instead of the side-hinged door that opened to the right

Under the hood is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which generates 176 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder is the only engine available, as Toyota drops the powerful 3.5-liter V6 from the RAV4 lineup. A new six-speed automatic transmission replaces the outdated four-speed and, as before, the RAV4 will be available with front- or all-wheel drive. Front-drive models will return an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, all-wheel-drive models achieving slightly less around town and rated at 22 mpg city/29 mpg highway.

The 2013 Toyota RAV4 will be available in LE, XLE and Limited trim levels.

All 2013 RAV4s get a standard rearview camera and a 6.1-inch display, while the XLE and Limited models add an available navigation system and Entune.
